The Calvary Baptist family is a vibrant congregation noted for Worship, Bible Study, Fellowship and Evangelism. Since its inception in 1964, the church has been dedicated to the growth of its members and the community it resides in and seeks to grow the family through Mission churches that become independent after some years. The Calvary Baptist Church is now one unit with five (5) campuses at Adabraka, Shiashie, Bortianor, Amasaman and Oyibi.
At present, we have the English service, Ga & Ewe Service, International (French) Service, Akan Service, Teens’ Service and Youth Service. There are also dedicated Sunday School services for kids of all ages.

Rev. Washington Komla Darke was born on 24th of June, 1969. He is the third of six children born to Mr. Emmanuel Q. Bansah and Cecilia A. M. Bansah, all gone to be with the Lord. Rev. Darke is married to Mrs. Miriam Lartekai Darke, and they are blessed with three children, two biological and one foster.

Rev. Washington Komla Darke is the Senior Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church. He was appointed into this office in 2024 and came to the office with over 30 years’ experience ministry, and other fields, including finance, investment, insurance, pensions management, academia and administration.
